Tignale Holidays . The Village Band

30 YEARS OF MUSICAL HISTORY...

...35 in fact! The “ Banda Tignalese” ( the Tignale Band) was founded as long ago as 1973.  Since then it has been constantly renovated and is now called the "Nuova Banda Tignalese" (the New Tignale Band). The various band masters ("maestri") (Antonio Tomacelli, Roberto Milesi, Aldo Rosina, Giacamo Casadei and the present band master Pietro Leali) have each left their personal mark on the Band, developing and enriching it.  Today the New Tignale Band consists of 25 members of all ages. It has a repertory of about fify pieces and is well thought of in the province of Brescia. In the autumn of 2007 the Band performed a well-received concert in the village with the Band of Muscoline. In December the Band's rendering of Preludietto was recorded.

In 2008 a beginners class was formed to create new players for the future. The Band is also collaborating with the Band of Vobarno, also directed by Maestro Leali, to perform concerts together.

-Friday 25th April San Marco Festival, Piovere Tignale, in the afternoon

JUNE
-Sunday 1st June 8.30 p.m - "Bands in Piazza" - Lonato
-Sunday 15th June 8.30 p.m. - "Bands in Piazza" - Gargnano
-Sunday 29th June 8.30 p.m. Concert with the Band of Vobarno in Vobarno

JULY
-Saturday 5th July -afternoon and evening with the Band of Vobarno - Lonato
-Sunday 20th July - Band Festival all day  - Piazzale Ginestre Tignale
-Friday 25th July 9.00 p.m. Concert with the Band of Vobarno - Piazza Umberto 1° Tignale
-Sunday 27th July Festival of the Alpinis - Cima Piemp Tignale, in the morning

AGOSTO
-Sunday 10th August  - San Lorenzo Festival -Olzano Tignale, in the afternoon
