Around Tignale . Trips by car

Leave Tignale, driving northwards along the road by the lake until you arrive at Limone, (about 30 mins. from Tignale).

Limone is a fascinating  little town along the lakeside with characteristic houses in narrow streets. After having walked along the front and looked around the shops, you can take the ferry across the lake from the port, (the crossing takes about 25 mins.) – for the timetable and costs see the internet site www.navigazionelaghi.it or ask in the Tourist Information Office.

After a pleasant boat trip you arrive at Malcesine, another attractive and popular tourist resort on the lake (see the section “Around the lake”) and here, after a look around the town, you can take the cableway up Mount Baldo (about 20 mins.).

From the top cableway station you can go for fantastic walks in uncontaminated countryside with magnificent views over the lake and the whole Garda region, or you can have a quiet picnic in the open air, admiring the view.

To return, take the cableway back from the top station to Malcesine and then the ferry to Limone to where you left the car. It is also possible to take the car over on the ferry and then return by car via Torbole, Riva del Garda, Limone, then back to Tignale.
