The inland territory of Tignale, with its variety of routes to follow, is extremely suitable for mountain-biking - a paradise of roads, old mule-tracks and paths that climb up the wonderful mountains that surround the inhabited part of Tignale. Passing from the hills to the mountains, up to 1600 metres above sea level, you experience magnificent views: from the characteristic terraces of the olive groves to the mountain rock-face between holmoaks, laurels, and rosemary typical of the Mediterranean scrub, climbing through pine woods, ash trees, chestnut trees, hornbills and beech trees - always with the sudden chance of seeing the dazzling blue of the Lake. Certainly, it can be tiring. However, satisfaction and energy are not only expended but also regained in terms of mental and spiritual energy when you are on the top of a ridge overlooking the magnificent Lake, or immersed in fragrant woods or in the old summer pastures that are seeped in history.

 

 

 MOUNTAIN BIKE RENTAL- VISITORS' CENTRE, PARK MUSEUM- PRABIONE

It is possible to rent mountain bikes from the Park Museum. There are ten adult bikes and two for children. Weekdays it is not usually necessary to book, but booking is advisable at weekends. Maps and other publications with routes for mountain bikes are available for sale at the Museum.
